A Journey into Photography and Asheville
2008–2012
Having a cellphone camera in your pocket changed the game. Something about freezing my favorite moments... entranced me. A close friend later sold me his DSLR so I could start learning the basics.
Brightview in New Jersey hired me to cover their ribbon cutting, seasonal parties and staff headshots. I'm so grateful for these opportunities, everyone was so kind and we had a lot of fun. What I lacked in equipment I made up with enthusiasm and wit.
2013–2016
During college I assisted TTL Studios on a range of photography projects. Right across the street is the annual Film Festival, where local photographers volunteer to cover theaters and public events.
One winter after college I worked in the subterranean education facilities at ICP NYC. It was a head-first dive into the photography world where I learned from incredibly talented artists. Staff had rental privileges too so I got to try some nice gear.
2017–Present
I found my love for pet photography while living in Boston. There was a huge dog park with space for our pups to go all out. Capturing these high energy moments has been a delightful challenge ever since.
But the old camera wasn't keeping up with these crazy dogs anymore so I made an overdue upgrade. Then Covid came, laying me off but allowing me to hone my photography and make the move to Asheville in the summer of 2020.
In this fun project, Cult Eyewear had just launched the Fairmount frames so we hit the streets of DUMBO, Brooklyn. I shot a behind-the-scenes style video for the shoot as we meandered the streets.
Despite the frigid winter morning, Dalton Blaine did a killer job channeling James Dean. An incredible photographer by the name of Svetlana Blasucci had introduced me to Cult's founder, Stephen. She also got me that gig at ICP. Thanks Svet!

A Little More About Me
EDUCATION & WORK
Graduated from NJIT with a B.S. in Information Technology and focus in Cyber Security.
Worked incident response for Amwell telehealth in Boston. This was 24/7 shift work and definitely had its challenges, but overall an amazing experience. Watching the sunrise on the harbor was my favorite perk.
Now during the day I work in IT support for Epsilon in Weaverville. Have you turned it off and on again?
